Sophia Webster x J.Crew

At some point in 2014, I became a shoe person. Don't get me wrong – I've always liked shoes, but considered myself much more of a bag girl (as in: Imusthavethisgorgeousbagbecauseitwillgowitheverything...right?). But recently, it's been all about shoes. Beautiful boots, D'orsay flats (even my recent illustrations have been all about shoes), and now Sophia Webster x J.Crew.

Can we talk about how fun this little collection is? Each shoe is like a little work of art for your feet. These are definitely the kind of shoes that complete outfits and serve as conversation pieces. The collaboration has been so popular that some styles have sold out (although they may be restocking), but I still couldn't resist sharing a few of my favorites.

P.S. I recently did a fun interview with Lauren of Social Stylate. Pop over here to check it out and read a bit about why I started The Atelier & a few tips on being your own boss!

New in the Shop: Leopard Flats Print

Just added a fun 8x10 inch leopard watercolor print to the shop (plenty more to come soon!). It comes signed, printed on my favorite archival stock, and ready to frame. For under $27, how perfect would it be in a little gallery wall?

Denim Envy: Jessica de Ruiter & Levi's 501s

There is nothing quite like a perfectly fitting pair of jeans, am I right? There are so many great washes and cuts out there right now, but I'm seriously loving the broken-in-almost-boyfriend feel as seen on fellow denim lover & stylist Jessica de Ruiter. I mean, just look at how she rocks her Levi's 501s. #denimenvy

The key to pulling of her look? Go for a slimmer fit straight leg jean (if it's too baggy, size down) that has a slightly worn in look. If you can't get your hands on a vintage pair of Levi's, try these by Madewell, these from J.Crew, or these from Urban Outfitters.
